Ashleigh Hilligas
Head Athletic Trainer

Ashleigh became the head athletic trainer at Legend High School in 2021. Ashleigh graduated from Cherokee Trail High School then attended college at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. Ashleigh graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2015. She went on to work out of Hays Medical Center in the Orthopedic Clinic and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, providing multiple services to both patients and physicians while also covering football and basketball at a local 1A high school. After one year, I transitioned to a head athletic training position for a private 3A high school for two years. She then transferred to head athletic trainer at a public 5A high school. Ashleigh was able to grow strong relationships with the 3A and 5A schools during her time there, increasing athletic training program support with the administrations and community. She was able to advocate and successfully acquire athletic training coverage for all sports at the high school level as well as the Jr High wrestling programs. In 2020, Ashleigh moved back home to Colorado with her son Raylan to be near family. She took on an associate athletic trainer position at Mountain Vista High School for the 2020-2021 school year.

Lauren Hatch
Associate Athletic Trainer

This is Lauren's second year as an Athletic Trainer at Legend High School. She splits her time with us and Ponderosa High School. Lauren received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Northern Colorado in 2016. She went on to earn her Master degree in Athletic Training at the University of Idaho in 2019. She also is a proud alumna of Douglas County Schools, graduating from Highlands Ranch High School in 2012. Through her Master’s program, she has had many experiences at the high school and collegiate levels. Her experience at the United States Air Force Academy led her to the opportunity to join the NCAA-DoD multi-million-dollar Concussion Research Study (CARE Consortium) upon graduation.

Lauren has been such an asset to the Legend Athletic Training and athletics community this past year and we are so excited to have her back again this year!
